Bilquis Edhi’s responsibility given her granddaughter

Torch is lit, the lights are on, and the caravan is on

KARACHI, April 19,2022- After the demise of Bilquis Edhi, the widow of Abdul Sattar Edhi, her granddaughter, Dr. Rabia Faisal Edhi, has been given responsibilities to continue her mission.

Faisal Edhi has shared a photo with her daughter Dr. Rabia Faisal Edhi on her Facebook page.

He shared the picture and wrote, “She is Edhi, and there is no one like them. This is a trusted family of two and a half million people.”

He further wrote that ‘Bilquis Edhi is not among us but she gave us courage and persuaded to continue the service of humanity’.

Bilquis Edhi passes away

Faisal Edhi wrote, “her granddaughter, Dr. Rabia Faisal Edhi, today reiterated her great-grandmother’s commitment that her great mission will be continued in her life.”

He wrote at the end of his post that ‘Bilquis Edhi, is alive in shape of Dr. Rabia Edhi, the torch is lit, the lights are on, and the caravan is on’.

It may be recalled that Bilquis Edhi, the widow of renowned social activist Abdul Sattar Edhi, passed away on April 15.
