Bashir Memon stick on his statement

HYDERABAD: Former Director General FIA Bashir Memon has said that he was firm on his statements, and would even narrate before a judicial commission or parliamentary committee.

In an interaction with Time News, a Sindhi TV channel, Bashir Memon said that he am ready to respond to the notice of Shahzad Akbar’s notice in the court.

He pointed out that in the legal notice they themselves have acknowledged that what I did not do against the Sharif family, they got it done by the NAB.

Former head of FIA alleged that after his statement in a talk show, the government started probing his properties and businesses. He said, he belong to a landlord family.

Former DG FIA Bashir Memon said that he stands on the statements made in the interviews can also tell before judicial commission or a parliamentary committee.

Bashir Memon further said, following his refusal to take action against the Sharif family, was disturbed in various ways and added that Prime Minister and some minister were responsible for his before time retirement.

However, he refused to comment on Aitzaz Ahsan’s remarks and said he respcts Aitzaz Ahsan.

He further said that during the meeting Imran Khan, he was asked to lodge treason and other cases against Sharif’s family on refusal to file he landed in troubles.

To a question about his entry in politics, he said his brother was in politics, and he contested election on PDM ticket.

He added, if he entered political arena, will not ask from anybody, and said, “I know the law.” Bashir Memon said who knows PTI in Sindh, who will be anxious to get this party.

PM denies allegations

On April 29, PM Imran Khan said all allegations levelled by Memon against him are “baseless.”

PM said he never directed ex-FIA chief Bashir Memon to investigate or file cases against Justice Qazi Faez Isa. “I did not direct Memon to file any cases against Opposition leader Maryam Nawaz or anyone else from the PML-N or the PPP either,” the premier adds.

However, PM Imran Khan said he only directed Memon to investigate the iqama (foreign resident permit) case of ex-foreign minister Khawaja Asif.

Earlier Prime Minister’s aide on accountability Shahzad Akbar served a legal notice to former FIA chief Bashir Memon for levelling “baseless allegations against him.”

Farogh Naseem and Shahzad Akbar rejected the ex-DG FIA’s serious allegations at a press conference.
