All set for Benazir Bhutto’s anniversary in Garhi Khuda Buksh
Glowing tributes paid to Benazir Bhutto
LARKANA Dec 26,2021- The 14th anniversary of the martyrdom of Benazir Bhutto, the chairperson of the People’s Party and the first woman Prime Minister of the Islamic world, will be observed on Monday at Garhi Khuda Buksh Bhutto. All arrangements for the anniversary have been made jointly by the Mazar Committee and the PPP. The procession of workers from different parts of the country to attend the anniversary have started reaching from Sunday evening.
Security Measure
Officially, various high officials including Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah have held several meetings and reviewed the arrangements while various issues including security have been finalized. All the routes coming to Garhi Khuda Bakhsh have been grafted on emergency basis. Fool-proof security has also been finalized on the occasion of the anniversary and a network of CCTV cameras has been set up at the main venue in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh and surrounding areas.
PPP Central Committee meeting postponed
A police control room has been set up in a part of the main venue where an SSP level officer will be supervising. Installation of walk-through gates has also begun. There are separate entrances for men and women.

A central condolence meeting will also be held at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh on Monday at 3 pm on the occasion of the anniversary. On Monday morning, the workers will renew their vows by offering Fateha at the grave of their martyred leader. A temporary bazaar will also be set up in the outer part of the shrine on the anniversary to facilitate the workers.
Reception camps have been set up by PPP workers in different parts of the city, including the entire district, in connection with the anniversary. Pictures of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari have also been hung in these camps while PPP anthems and popular songs are being played in all the camps. There are large numbers of camp by workers are set uo at Jinnah Bagh Chowk, SSP Chowk, Lahore Mohalla, Fish Market, Caravan Shadow, Bakrani Road and several other areas.
