ISLAMABAD Aug 19,2021( News Desk) – Abdullah Abdullah reveals details of meeting with the Taliban delegation and urged them to pay attention and priorities the security and protection of the life, property and dignity of the people.
He said he supports an independent and unified Afghanistan based on justice and fairness.
On his twitter account he said, Dr Abdullah Abdullah, Chairman of HCNR yesterday evening at his residence met Mr Khalil Al-Rahman Haqqani and his accompanying delegation of Taliban in Kabul.
Hamid Karzai, Fazal Hadi Muslimyar and several other elders and personalities attend the meeting.
The tweet further said, they exchanged views on the security of citizens in Kabul and across Afghanistan, unity and cooperation for the future of the country.
Dr Abdullah, while welcoming the leaders of the Taliban at his residence, asked them to pay attention and priorities the security & protection of the life, property & dignity of the people.
Referring to the concerns of the citizens of Kabul and other provinces, he emphasised that the collective security of the people, protecting their life & property should be our main priority.
Dr Abdullah reiterated his official position that he supports an independent and unified Afghanistan based on justice and fairness.
He added: history shows that in the absence of social justice, proving security & strengthening national unity is impossible.
Mr Haqqani assured the participants that they will work hard to provide the right security for the citizens of Kabul, and asked for the help and support of political leaders & elders of the country to provide security for the people.
