50 youth will be awarded scholarship short film making: PM Shahbaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD, Dec 26,2022 – Addressing the National Amateur Short Film Festival, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced 50 youth will be awarded scholarship short film making and the formation of a committee to bring out the talent of the youth and said that this committee will bring out the talent of the youth across the country along with the promotion of culture.

This will also play a key role in the young generation, there is the passion and desire to make Pakistan of Jinnah the father of the nation and Allama Iqbal.

If Pakistan wants to develop and move forward, the key is in the hands of our young generation, for this the government Pakistan is ready to shower all the resources at the feet of the youth, the youth brought the positive image of Pakistan to the world through short films.

He was addressing the award ceremony of the National Amateur Short Film Festival 2022 on Monday.

Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting Maryam Aurangzeb, cabinet members, parliamentarians, Secretary Information and Broadcasting Shaheera Shahid were present in large number of participants.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the youth have made us proud by producing the best films in the National Amateur Film Festival. Four moons have been placed, the successful ones have truly proved their abilities.

He welcomed the arrival of Sultan Ahmed Bin Salim to Pakistan and said that he belongs to our friendly country, we welcome him to Pakistan. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that today is the era of knowledge, by the grace and grace of Allah Almighty, our young generation has the spirit and passion of Allama Iqbal to make Pakistan.

Prime Minister said that the young boys and girls have reflected the beauty of Pakistan, ancient heritage, rivers, seas and lakes through short films and have shown the world that if Pakistan wants to develop and move forward, then its key is ours. It is in the hands of the young generation, for this the government of Pakistan is ready to shower all the resources at the feet of the youth.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that it has been 75 years since Pakistan came into existence, but the dream of Quaid-e-Azam has not been fulfilled. The dream of Quaid-e-Azam has to be fulfilled only by our young generation.

He said that on behalf of the coalition government, I assure you that the points raised regarding the film industry will be implemented here. He said that in the 60s, 70s and 80s, our dramas had their own importance, a lot of work was done in the film industry and culture, the time also came when films stopped being made and cinemas were closed.

He said, “today I announce the formation of a committee which will bring forward the talent from all over Pakistan and will work to promote the culture.”

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif while addressing the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Maryam Aurangzeb said that there has been talk of sending 15 youths who took a prominent position in the film festival on scholarship, this number is very small, the number should be increased to 50, which include 25 boys and 25 girls.
