150 dacoits attack police camp in Ghotki, killing 5 police officers

SUKKUR, Nov 6,2022- More than 150 dacoits with modern weapons and targeted the policemen killing five police officers.

The dacoits handed over the bodies of five police officers, including the DSP and two SHOs, who were martyred in the attack on the police party by the dacoits in Rawanti, Kacha area of ​​Tehsil Obaro, Ghotki district of Sindh.

After several hours, the dacoits handed over the bodies of the martyred police officers and personnel to the police.

An SHO and other officials were also injured in the attack.

According to SHO Obaro Asghar Awan, DSP Obaro Abdul Malik Bhutto, SHO Khenjo Deen Mohammad Laghari, SHO Mirpur Mathelo Abdul Malik and two police officers were martyred in the attack by the bandits.

In the encounter, SHO Rawanti, Ghulam Ali Brohi and other officials have been injured and have been shifted to the hospital for medical assistance.

Police fought with dacoits barvely: SSP Tanveer Ahmed Tunio

SSP Ghotki Tanveer Tunio told the media that the morale of the police is high, they have fought the dacoits with courage.

He said that Tanveer Ahmed Tunio were equipped with modern weapons, police also need modern weapons.

SSP Tanveer Ahmed Tunio also said that the void of the martyred personnel cannot be filled, he shares the grief of the families of the martyrs.

Bandits attack police camp: DIG Sukkur

According to DIG Sukkur Division Javed Jiskani, an operation was carried out under the command of DSP Obaro Abdul Malik Bhutto to recover three hostages in Rawanti, Kacha area of ​​Obaro.

He said that a police camp was also set up in Katcha for the operation, which was attacked by more than 150 dacoits with modern weapons and targeted the policemen.

After the attack on the policemen, a heavy contingent of police has been dispatched to Kacha.

The funeral prayers of DSP Obawaro, two SHOs and two police officlas were performed at the SSP office Mirpur Mathilo. The funeral prayer was attended by MNA Muhammad Bakhsh Mehr, police and rangers officers and citizens.
