Who is behind the debate on presidential system? Raza Rabbani

ISLAMABAD, Feb 15,2022- PPP senator Raza Rabbani said that the attack on the 18th Amendment reveals who is behind the debate on presidential system of government.

Former chairman Senate Raza Rabbani said in a statement that the 18th constitutional amendment and the attack on the parliament reflects the dictatorial, centralist mindset.

He asked the government to explain how the 18th Amendment was an obstacle in controlling inflation and curbing corruption.

It may be recalled that Prime Minister Imran Khan while talking to former ambassadors and representatives of think tanks had said that there were many problems after the 18th Amendment.

Earlier this month, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Usman Dar had said in support of the presidential system that the country should have a presidential system, while PTI Senator Faisal Javed had said that the country should have an Islamic presidential system.
