Urea fertilizer crisis surfaces across Punjab

LAHORE, Dec 10,2023: Urea fertilizer crisis has surface across Punjab, as a bag of fertilizer worth Rs 3,750 is being sold for Rs 5,200 across Punjab.

Farmers say that dealers and stockists are selling the fertilizer in black by justifying artificial shortage.

The Caretaker Minister of Industry and Commerce Gohar Ejaz has taken notice and said that he has instructed the fertilizer manufacturing factories not to let the production and supply decrease.

Gohar Ejaz says that the government has also placed orders for imported fertilizers.

The Industries and Commerce Minister said that from December 20, fertilizer ships will start arriving at the port on a daily basis.
