Jahangir Tareen withdraws bail application, FIA says arrest not needed
LAHORE: Sessions Court Lahore granted interim bail to Jahangir Tareen and Ali Tareen till April 10.
The court has also sought a report from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on the matter at the next hearing.
The FIA has registered fraud and money laundering cases against Jahangir Tareen, his son Ali Tareen and employees of Mills.
Jahangir and Ali Tareen also got interim bail from the Banking Court.
The court restrained the FIA from arresting Jahangir Tareen and Ali Tareen till April 7.
Talking to media at Lahore Banking Court, Jahangir Tareen said that things are leaked under planning. Something has to happen it is leaked and given to media.
He said that the three cases had no connection with the increase in price of sugar. The decisions of the company made 6 to 10 years ago were being challenged.
Jahangir Tareen said that it was not the job of the FIA to challenge these decisions, the case has been deliberately handed over to the FIA.
“By adding word money laundering, it has has been turned into a criminal case. We will present our case in court,” he added.
