Six killed in blast in Chaman

QUETTA (May 21, 2021) At least six people were killed and five injured in an explosion in Chicken Bazar near Eidgah Qadeemi Mosque in Chaman, on Friday afternoon.

JUI-Nazaryati leader Maulana Abdul Qadir Luni was also among the injured, police said. He was leading a rally taken out by the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam in solidarity with Palestine.

The injured people and bodies have been moved to the hospital.

The police officer of Chaman said that the explosive material was installed in a motorbike.

The bomb disposal squad and FC personnel reached the spot and have cordoned off the area.

Balochistan spokesperson Liaquat Shahwani condemned the attack said, “We have imposed an emergency at hospitals across the city,” he said, adding that the people behind the blast want to disrupt peace in Balochistan and are supporters of Israel.
