Sindh, Hubei to be sister provinces

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and China have agreed to establish Sister-Province relationship between Sindh and Hubei province, twin of Karachi, Wuhan and other cities.

Hubei is a landlocked province of China, and is part of the Central China region. The name of the province means “north of the lake”, referring to its position north of Dongting Lake.

The provincial capital, Wuhan, serves as a major transportation hub and the political, cultural, and economic hub.

The agreement was reached during a meeting between Pakistan Ambassador to China, Moin-ul-Haque and Secretary of Communist Party of China Hubei Provincial Committee, Ying Yong in Wuhan reports Radio Pakistan.

Both sides agreed to establish China-Pakistan Friendship Squares in Karachi and Wuhan to foster people to people ties.
