Sindh cabinet approves policy for recruitment on deceased quota

KATACHI Aug 10, 2021 – Sindh cabinet approved a new policy for recruitment on deceased quota here on Tuesday, which will be called Revision of Eligibility for Recruitment under Deceased Quota.

According to new policy the deceased quota will be effective September 2, 2002.

This was decided at cabinet meeting presided over by the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali.

The government employees who died before September 2002 will not be included in the deceased quota.

CM spokesman said that if the child of the deceased employee is young or underage, they must notify the relevant agency within 2 years;

As soon as the child reaches the age of 18, the application has to be submitted under the deceased quota system within 3 months.

Employees who are unmarried will be entitled to a sister or brother disease quota;

Chief Minister Sindh directed the Finance Secretary to evolve a mechanism under which the salaries of deceased employees continue till the age of retirement.

A committee consisting Imtiaz Sheikh, Jam Khan Shoro and Murtaza Wahab was constituted which will propose a financial package that would provide immediate financial assistance to the heirs of deceased employees.
