Shehzad Akbar, actress Sophia Mirza booked in fraud case

A case was registered against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shehzad Akbar, actress Sophia Mirza and a former DG FIA.

The Secretariat police station Islamabad registered a case against Shehzad Akbar, Sophia Mirza and others under the provisions of fraud, tampering with record, against Sophia Mirza’s ex-husband Umar Farooq.

The text of the case states that Shahzad Akbar and Sanaullah Abbasi prepared fake warrants. Reports said that Sophia Mirza, Shehzad Akbar and Sanaullah Abbasi filed false cases.

According to the FIR, the accused prepared bogus court documents and the accused illegally prepared and used court records.

Sophia Mirza married Umar Farooq Zahoor in 2006, and they divorced a year later. They have two daughters.

She hosted the popular Samaa Kay Mehmaan. She has appeared in dozens of Pakistani commercials, including those for Jazz, Lipton, Pepsi, and Rose Petal.
