SEPCO issues red alert about power supply in upper Sindh

SUKKUR, July 1,2022- Sukkur Electricity Company (SEPCO) has issued red alert about power supply in its area and has suggested the consumers to arrange alternative source of power supply to meet their requirement till the situation become normal.

SEPCO supplies electricity in Sukkur, Larkana divisions and Dadu district of Hyderabad Division.

Chief Executive of the SEPCO, Abdul Karim Memon has officially wrote a letter to the officials of the company to convey this message to all concerned.

The CEO letter says, “As you are well familiar that the Pakistan is facing severe electricity crisis due to short fall of generation .The short fall is likely to be increased in coming days for which we shall face more inconvenience in supply of power to our valued consumers as the less quota of generation is being provided to the SEPCO by NPCC.”

K Electric assures to end night load shedding within three days

The SPECO chief’s letter further said, You are therefore hereby advised to officially intimate about the current situation of shortfall in generation to courts, local administration, (Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners) Chamber of Commerce & Industry, educational institutions, hospitals/healthcare facilities, prisons authorities, small traders, industrialists, Pakistan Railways authorities,essential services as well as potential consumers with request to them to arrange alternative source of supply to meet their requirement till the situation become normal.

 

It may be noted that K Electric has been assured to end the night load shedding in two to three days.

A meeting was held in Karachi under the chairmanship of Sindh Energy Minister Imtiaz Ahmed Sheikh with the officials of K Electric regarding load shedding.
