KARACHI: The Sindh government has prohibited rallies, protests, sit- ins, on all highways and essential services places in the province. The Sindh Home Department issued a notification on Friday, which will remain enforce for sixty day.

According to notification rallies, protests, demonstration and sit- ins for blocking the traffic have been banned on National Highways, Indus Highway, Super Highway (Karachi-Hyderabad), RCD Highway, railway Stations and Railway track and adjacent areas, main roads leading to ports, airport, universities, hospitals, etc, roads leading to downtowns of the cities, inter-city bus terminals under section 144 (6) Cr.PC.

In Karachi further, 11 areas have been notified to ban the protests etc. These areas included: Northern Bypass, Hub River Road, Maripur Road, Shahrah-e- Faisal, Shahrah-e-Usman (Northern Bypass), Shahrah-e- Pakistan (Super Highway to city, Airport to Shahrah-e- Faisal, Korangi Industrial Area Main road, PAF Road, Port Qasim (Port Qasim to National Highway, and Lyari Express.
