ISLAMABAD Nov 06,2021

The opposition alliance PDM on Saturday has been decided to start a decisive long march against inflation by giving the last deadline to the government.

This was decided in a virtual meeting chaired by Maulana Fazlur Rehman, and attended by Shahbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Shah Owais Noorani and other leaders. According to decision PDM will hold several anti-inflation protests across the country, which will culminate in the long march towards Islamabad.

The meeting is considered other issues including the return of PPP to PDM.

The PDM decided to hold protests in Karachi on November 13, in Quetta on Nov 17, and in Peshawar on Nov 20.

PDM has decided to convene another meeting of the alliance’s top brass on November 11 — right after the joint parliament session, which will take place on November 10.

PDM move is important as the government has summoned the session on November 10 with a view to pass 18 bills to stop these bills PDM may join hands with PPP, sources said.

The bills are related to granting overseas Pakistanis the right to vote, e-voting and the use of electronic voting machines (EVMs).
