Nasir Shah invites political parties to join hand come to stop Afghan refugees in Karachi

KARACHI –Jul 18,2021- Sindh Minister for Information and Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has called political parties working to  come together and talk about how to stop the pressure of Afghan refugees.

Syed Nasir Hussain Shah inaugurated the physical and digital library at UC28 Bilal Town, West District and launched the ‘Public Library in each Union Council Program’.

Addressing the function, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said that a series of public libraries and digital libraries programs have been started across the province. We are trying to establish at least one library in each union council. Libraries are being set up with funds from union councils. He said that the libraries of KMC, DMC and local bodies were being upgraded to attract the youth towards books so that they could find new avenues.

He said that modern facilities, excellent environment and books on a wide range of topics would be available in the library for the readers. Today is the digital age and digital libraries would be provided to the younger generation. He said that we do not have any MPA or MNA in the district West but we have started the library program from UC 28 Bilal Town. He said that PPP believes in serving the people without any discrimination.

He said that the infrastructure of West district was being improved while water problem in the district would be resolved soon. He said that Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had directed him to solve the problems of sewerage and water.

Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said that jobs would be given to the youth of the district on merit and jobs would be given at the union council level. No one from outside would be recruited, assured that only locals would be given jobs.

Replying to a question, he said that PPP was not afraid of any alliance. These people are being tested. Forming an alliance is not a new thing for us. Politically, they have been fighting elections against the PPP.

He has also been in the by-elections, with Badin in the recent by-elections and the PPP defeating him the worst. He said that he will get more victories in the next local body elections.

To another question, he said that Khwaja Izhar (of MQM) has spoken foul words in the post, he is in pain, and someone has put his foot on his tail.

He further said that PPP does not do politics of hatred.

Urdu speakers are as important to us as Sindhi and Baloch speakers.

On the situation in Afghanistan, he said that the situation in Afghanistan is worrisome, Karachi is about to be invaded by Afghan refugees once again.

MQM, PSP and I ask Jamaat-e-Islami to come together and talk about how to stop them. This is the main issue of Karachi. They backed out on the issue of census, but all the stakeholders of Karachi should come up with a strategy to stop the pressure of Afghan refugees.
