Govt wants to facilitate Musharraf in his repatriation
Pakistan Army spokesman Major General Babar Iftikhar has said that the position of the institution and leadership regarding former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf is that he should return.
In an interview to a private TV channel, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar said that General (retd) Pervez Musharraf’s health is very bad, may Allah give him health.
He further said that in such a situation, the position of the institution and leadership is that Pervez Musharraf should return.
DG ISPR said that Pervez Musharraf’s family was contacted in this regard.
He also said that it was up to the former president to decide whether his family and doctors would allow him to travel in such a situation.
A spokesman for the Pakistan Army said that if these two things come to light then only arrangements can be made.
