Ministry of Defense requests Supreme Court to hold simultaneous elections across the country

The Ministry of Defense has filed an application in the Supreme Court to hold elections simultaneously across the country.

In the request of the Ministry of Defense, it was said that the Supreme Court should withdraw the order of elections in Punjab and that elections should be ordered simultaneously across the country, a leading Urdu daily reported.

The application further said that in view of the ongoing security situation in the country, the Supreme Court should withdraw the decision of April 4.

In the request of the Ministry of Defense, it was also said that the court should order elections after the completion of the term of the Sindh and Balochistan Assembly.
