Lockdown inevitable if virus keeps going up, NCOC briefed

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister Asad Omar said that he NCOC meeting considered lockdown proposals in cities where corona is spreading and added that 500,000 doses of corona virus vaccine cyanoform would reach Pakistan today.
The NCOC meeting was chaired by Asad Omar, which later issued a press release on covid situation in Pakistan.
According to the statement, proposals to close markets, shopping malls, public transport and educational institutions are being considered.

A detailed briefing on oxygen supply was given at the NCOC meeting. In view of the increase in cases, 6,901 beds have been added, while oxygen supply is also being closely monitored. 2,811 oxygen beds. 431 ventilators will be provided to hospitals.
According to the announcement, inter-provincial transport will be closed two days a week on Saturdays and Sundays till May 17.
