Sindh minister warns against promotion of linguistic politics

KARACHI Aug 13.2021 – Sindh Information Minister Saeed Ghani has said, laws are being enacted to restrict freedom of press though we talk about freedom of press and freedom of judiciary but legislation is being enacted to restrict freedom of press, such laws are being made in the country. There are those that are not even made in martial law

Saeed Ghani expressed these views while addressing a flag-raising and cake-cutting ceremony at Karachi Press Club on the occasion of 75th Independence Day of Pakistan on Friday night.

Sindh Information Minister Saeed Ghani along with officials and members of Karachi Press Club also cut a 74-pound cake.

Members of Karachi Press Club including President Karachi Press Club Fazil Jameeli, Secretary Muhammad Rizwan Bhatti, Joint Secretary Saqib Saghir, Vice President Shazia Hassan, Treasurer Abdul Waheed Rajpar, Member Governing Body Abdul Wasi Qureshi, Hamid-ur-Rehman, Farooq Sami, Aziz Singhur and alarge number of people attended the function.

PPP Sindh General Secretary Waqar Mehdi, Deputy Information Secretary Asif Khan and Dr Huma Mir were also present on the occasion.

On this occasion, Saeed Ghani along with Karachi Press Club members also hoisted the national crescent flag in the air.

 Saeed Ghani said that we are responsible for the problems in the country. We have to make a commitment to move the country forward. We are talking about freedom of press and freedom of judiciary but legislation is being enacted to restrict freedom of press while conspiracy is also being hatched against judiciary.

It is a tragedy that now such laws are being made in the country which were not even made in martial law.

If our performance is good then the country will be good. One should learn from one’s mistakes while celebrating independence. We want to give a better Pakistan to our generations. Unless we tell the truth, the country cannot develop.
