ISLAMABAD Dec 01,2021- During the hearing of journalist and blogger Mudassar Naro’s recovery case, Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Athar Minallah remarked that the state is like a mother but she is nowhere to be seen. Kidnapping someone by the state is a very serious crime.

Journalist and blogger Mudassar Naro recovery case was heard under the chairmanship of Chief Justice Athar Minallah of Islamabad High Court in which Federal Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari and Home Secretary Yousuf Naseem Khokhar appeared. 

During the hearing of the case, advocate Usman Warraich appeared on behalf of the petitioner but Iman Mazari could not appear due to illness, while Additional Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General from the federation also appeared in the court.

During the hearing, Justice Athar Minallah asked the human rights minister Shireen Mazari what would be the reaction of the state if a loved one of a public office holder goes missing?  

Human Rights Minister Shirin Mazari said that we have enacted legislation on the issue of enforced disappearances, which will be sent to the Senate soon.
