Ishaq Dar coming home next week
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar calls on President
LONDON: PML-N leader Ishaq Dar is coming home next week and will assume charge as the finance minister on Tuesday.
A decision of this effect has been taken during Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s meeting with party supremo Nawaz Sharif in London last week.
Minister for Interior Rana Sanaullah on Saturday confirmed that Dar will return to Pakistan next week.
Ishaq Dar, himself, had said that he will take oath as a Senator immediately after his return. The former finance minister said that he would will perform whatever duty is assigned to him by Nawaz and Shehbaz Sharif.
Sources said that Miftah Ismail, the incumbent finance minister, will remain part of the government’s economic team.
