NCOC bans inter-city transport, indoor & outdoor events in corona sprawling cities

ISLAMABAD Sep 03,2021- The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) has banned inter-city transport, indoor and outdoor events in Corona’s sprawling cities.

The NCOC, led by Federal Minister Asad Umar, briefed Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The NCOC informed the Prime Minister that inter-city transport and all indoor and outdoor activities have been banned in the cities where the epidemic is spreading.

It was informed in the briefing that permission for wedding ceremonies is only for outdoor and participation of up to 300 people.

The NCOC informed Prime Minister Imran Khan that indoor gyms have also been banned while additional NPIs (Non Pharmaceutical Interventions) will be implemented in selected districts from September 4 to 12.

It was said in the briefing that NPIs have been reviewed for selected districts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.

NPIs enforcement drive in Sindh

The Sindh Home department has issued a letter stating that NCOC has launched a special NPIs enforcement drive especially for marriage halls, marquees, restaurants, hotels on September 3 and 4, in high diseases prevalence cities i.e Karachi and Hyderabad.

The letter says that who are found to violate the NPIs shall be sealed and arrests will be made on account of gross violations of NPIs.

Punjab and KPK

According to the NCOC, additional NPIs will be implemented in Sargodha, Khushab, Mianwali, Rahim Yar Khan, Khanewal, Faisalabad, Bhakkar, Gujarat, Gujranwala, Multan, Bahawalpur, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sialkot and Sheikhupura in Punjab. ۔

Additional NPIs would also be implemented in Haripur, Malakand, Mansehra, Swabi, Dera Ismail Khan, Swat, Abbottabad and Peshawar of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the NCOC, additional NPIs will also be implemented in the federal capital Islamabad.
