Hamid Khan Group wins Supreme Court Bar Association election

Abid Shahid Zuberi of the Hamid Khan Group was elected as the President of Supreme Court Bar Association in the annual elections of the bar council.

Asma Jahangir Group’s Khalid Javed faced defeat.

Abid Shahid Zuberi of Hamid Khan Group got 1,347 votes while Advocate Khalid Javed of Asma Jehangir group got 1,148 votes.

There was contest between eight candidates for the vice presidency of the four provinces.

The certified and final results of the Supreme Court Bar election will be announced on November 3.

Newly elected President Abid Zuberi said that he will try to implement his manifesto.

He said that the issues regarding the hearing of the cases will be resolved on a priority basis, work will be done for better relations with the judiciary.
