Gunshot injured police personnel to be shifted only to Agha Khan Hospital

KARACHI, Feb 23,2022 – Karachi Police Chief has directed the ambulance service providers to shift the police personel of gunshot injuries only to the Agha Khan Hospital, not to any government hospital.

Additional IGP Karachi Range has directed the Edhi welfare Organisation and Chippa Welfare organistion that as per exisiting policy, the police personnel having gun shot injuries are required to be forthwith shifted to Agha khan hospital Karachi.

The a letter sent from the Karachi police to the ambulance service providers said that since two organisations are engaged in responding such emergency and shifting the injured police personals to various hospitals through ambulance service.

The letter further said that the concerned staff may be asked that in case of receiving any information about the gun shot injuries to the police personnel, they may be shifted to Agha Khan Hospital only, instead of taking them to other government hospital
