SC overrules Balochistan High Court's constituency changes verdict

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that funds will not be released for Punjab elections on the order of the Supreme Court. 

Speaking in Geo News’ program ‘Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Ke Saath’, Khawaja Asif said that the case of contempt of court will be seen when it comes.

Talks on court’s dictation not acceptable

The Defense Minister said that he will not accept the court’s dictation on the negotiations, he will negotiate on his own accord and the talks will be started from 2018.

The Supreme Court of Pakistan hearing of the case of holding the elections simultaneously across the country adjourned it till April 27 while directing the political parties to negotiate today during the hearing on the petitions.
A 3-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial is conducting the hearing, Justice Ijazul Ahsan and Justice Muneeb Akhtar are included in the bench.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till April 27, giving the political parties time to negotiate till 4 pm.
