ISLAMABAD (May 19, 2021): The government has prepared a model of electronic voting machine to avoid election rigging. Federal information Minister Fawad Chaudhry invited the opposition to come and see the model of the machine and if there are any questions, the government will provide answers.

Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry and Advisor to Parliamentary Affairs Babar Awan said that after every election by accusing and crying about rigging is not a solution. Both PPP and PML-N come first and see what it is.

They invited the PML-N leaders and Pakistan Peoples Party Leader of the Opposition in Senate Yousuf Raza Gilani, let’s look at the model, raise questions so that the government can provide answers through technology.

Adviser Parliamentary Affairs Babar Awan said that electronic voting machine consists of 4 parts. In the first stage, vote has to put ID card in the machine for verification, then get the right to vote and then vote for the preferred candidate by pressing the button on the machine.

Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry informed that this electronic voting machine will not be connected to the internet, there will be an electronic voting machine at every polling booth, the machine is very easy to operate, the machine has a battery, no electricity is required.

He said that the Election Commission had given 36 conditions for the machine, all of which have been fulfilled, all parties should sit on election reforms and take a unanimous decision, because polling takes place and the result does not come till morning.
