Election Atmosphere missing, Says PTI Chairman's Lawyer

Salman Akram Raja and PML-N’s Barrister Zafarullah Khan Discuss Electoral Environment

In a recent episode of Geo News’ Capital Talk, Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and prominent lawyer, Salman Akram Raja, expressed his concerns about the lack of an election atmosphere in the country.

Raja, accompanied by Barrister Zafarullah Khan from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), deliberated on the current state of affairs regarding the upcoming elections.

According to Raja, the prevailing circumstances suggest that the electoral process may face challenges. He emphasized that the absence of an election environment raises questions about the feasibility of conducting a successful election campaign, particularly in light of Article 144.

Elaborating on his stance, Raja questioned how a meaningful election campaign could be carried out when there is an apparent dearth of the necessary electoral fervor in the country.

Barrister Zafarullah Khan echoed the sentiment, asserting that no political party should be excluded from the electoral process through unconstitutional and illegal means. He emphasized the importance of adhering to the constitution and established rules, urging all political parties to participate in the elections responsibly.

As discussions on the electoral climate continue, concerns about the absence of a conducive environment for a fair and transparent election process persist among key political figures in Pakistan.
