Eight fishermen reach Clifton on overturned boat

All the eight fishermen reached the shore by riding on the belly of the overturned boat on Saturday morning.  Their fishing boat met with an accident in the deep sea near Karachi.

According to the security in-charge of Fishermen’s Cooperative Society Karachi, Nasir Bonairi, seven fishermen from Karachi boarded the small launch number 17205B named Al-Mustafa along with Rashid and went to the deep sea near Karachi for fishing last night.

Their launch overturned in a storm surge, all the drowning fishermen helped themselves and got to the belly of the overturned boat and after a hard struggle reached the nearest beach at Clifton early this morning.

Rashid, Shiraz, Murtaza, Karu, Salman, Ali Akbar, Mohsin and Rafiq, the captain of launch Al-Mustafa, reached the shore and informed their relatives who provided emergency aid.

According to Nasir Bonairi, all the fishermen are safe while their launch, which miraculously survived, is being moved to the jetty.
