Death of youth in custody prompts protest in Tando Allahyar
HYDERABAD: The death of a youth in mysterious circumstances in custody prompted protest sit-in in Tando Allahyar, Sindh.
SSP Tando Allahyar has suspended five police officials of Tando Allahyar police in Babar Khanzada case on Thursday.
The body of one Babar Khanzada was found hanging in the police lock –up.
The people of Khanzada community staged sin-in at Keria Shakh, to protest against the incident and demanded probe.
SSP Tando Allahyar suspended the lock-up incharge Ali Hassan Ali Bhurgri, Head Muhrar Yaqub Bajrani, Constable Irfan Kalro, Irfan Dahri and Constable Haji Khan. Four of them have been arrested.
SSP constituted a five member committee headed by CIA in-charge Usman Laghari with four SHOs, to probe the matter.
SSP Tando Allahyar held talks with the notables of Khanzada and PTI leader Advocate Ali Palh and assured them to file a case. On his assurance they ended sit-in and took body for burial.
