Chief Secretary Sindh Sohail Rajput and Administrator Karachi Murtaza Wahab were also present on the occasion along with Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.
The Sindh Chief Minister on Monday got opened a ditch under the sidewalk for drainage on Sibghatullah Shah Road.
He directed the Water Board officials and DC Sharqi to pump out the accumulated water on Islamia College Road.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah also visited Burns Road where he directed DC South to expedite the drainage work on the road leading to Burns Road from the Saddar.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah also directed for drainage of water at Shara-e-Faisal, Ferozeabad junction and said that water should also be drained from nursery stop on Shara-e-Faisal.
Administrator Karachi Murtaza Wahab in a tweet saud, Star gate and Falaknaz exit from the airport has been cleared.
Sir Shah Suleman Road near Essa Nagri in District East. Water is going through will be cleared soon.
Murtaza Wahab while updating the city situation said, area of Teen Talwaar Clifton is clear now.
On the other hand, the Meteorological Department said that the port city has been enveloped by rain clouds, so there may be more torrential rains in different areas.
