15% increase in salaries of government employees
Provinces to pay this package from their own funds
ISLAMABAD: The federal government has announced a 15 per cent increase in salaries of federal government employees from grade 1 to grade 19 in view of rising political temperature and inflationary pressures in the country.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance, the increase will be effective from March 1, 2022. The disparity allowance will be given to those employees who are not receiving the full allowance. A promotion summary of those serving in the same grade was also prepared.
The decision to integrate ad hoc relief and allowances in the basic pay will be taken in the light of the report of the Pay and Pension Commission.
These decisions are taken to provide those who are facing inflationary pressures.

According to the announcement, the allowance will be given to all the employees of grades 1 to 19 who are not getting full allowance before and fall under the category of undervalued.
It is also recommended to give this package to the provinces from their own funds.
A summary of promotions has been prepared for the employees who have been in the same grade for a long time.
The issue of upgrading of posts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be decided on the basis of the study results of MS Wing of Establishment Division in April.
