LAHORE, Jan 27,2022- 14 National cricketers rendered jobless in Pakistan as WAPDA Sports Board has issued a notification to dismissing their service in the organisation.

The WAPDA Sports Board in last December issued an order to disband the cricket teams justifying the Pakistan Cricket Board’s conduct of regional cricket and now in the light of this order the contracts of the national cricketers have been terminated and they have been dismissed from the services. Thus, the unemployment of cricketers continues.

According to the notification, special contracts of Kamran Akmal, Wahab Riaz, Salman Butt, Sadaf Mehdi, Arshad Iqbal, Sohaib Maqsood and Ehsan Adil have been terminated.
Cricketers Mohammad Asif, Sohrab Khan, Zahid Mansoor, Shahid Tariq and Mahendra Pal Singh have also had their contracts terminated.
Likewise, cricketer Jahanzeb Abdullah, who used to get monthly honourium, has also been fired. Now they will not get monthly honourium amount.
