13 people including children killed in blast near Kabul airport

At least 13 people, including children were killed  and injured several others in a bomb blast near Kabul airport has, including three US soldiers.

The Pentagon press secretary also confirmed the blast outside Kabul airport, according to a foreign news agency report.

A Pentagon spokesman said the death toll from the blast at Kabul airport was not immediately clear.

 Meanwhile, Arab media reported that 13 people, including children, were killed and several others, including three US soldiers, were injured in the blast.

According to media reports, gunfire was also heard inside the airport, while the Taliban tightened security around the airport after the blast.  

Afghan media said that the target of the blast was people gathered outside Kabul airport.
