Zardari Responds to Alliances and Political Landscape at Press Conference in Mithi

MITHI, Nov 15,2023: Former President and President of Peoples Party Parliamentarians, Asif Ali Zardari, asserted that while some people resort to alliances for power, the people are sufficient for them. Addressing the press in Mithi, Zardari shrugged off past alliances formed against the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), stating that such alliances do not concern them.

In response to Nawaz Sharif’s recent visit to Balochistan, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto remarked that it seems Mian Nawaz Sharif might have been advised that the Muslim League (N) is facing challenges in Lahore. Bilawal suggested that this could be the reason Sharif is venturing into other provinces in pursuit of a few seats.

“Mian Sahib suggests that they should focus on Punjab. People’s Party has never got a level playing field. This field is being decorated for that, but PPP is ready to play on every pitch, and hopefully, we will win,” Bilawal Bhutto expressed confidently during the press conference held on Tuesday in Mithi.

Bilawal’s response

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, addressing the political divisions, stated, “I have no disagreement with anyone; I have to do my own politics. In politics, we are so divided that we are not even ready to talk. I have not been trained nor can I understand that Pakistan can develop in this situation.”

The press conference in Mithi shed light on the PPP’s perspective on alliances, political strategies, and the challenges posed by a divided political landscape in the country.
