Zardari Fazl meeting after Eid likely

Shahbaz spent two busy days, did not meet Fazal

ISLAMABAD: Mian Shahbaz Sharif, President of Pakistan Muslim League-N and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, returned to Lahore after a two-day engagement in Islamabad.

During his stay in Islamabad, he met the British High Commissioner Christian Turner and the Chinese ambassador.

Yesterday, Shahbaz Sharif approached the Lahore high court to allow him treatment abroad.

He also visited the houses of Raja Ashfaq Sarwar and Senator Mushahidullah Khan and condoled with his relatives and also met with the organizers of the Muslim League-N of Rawalpindi Islamabad.

 It was believed that Shahbaz Sharif will meet the PDM chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman. The meeting of these leaders of two major component parties could not take place. Though Maulana Fazlur Rehman, has been living in Islamabad for almost a month.  

Former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, and PPP leader met Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Thursday at his residence. JUI sources said that Raja Pervez Ashraf inquired about his health and prayed for early recovery.

 During this about two and a half hours meeting, according to sources, Raja Pervez Ashraf conveyed the message of Asif Ali Zardari to Maulana Fazlur Rehman and after the Eid the PPP’s return and participation in the PDM meeting. The resignations and other matters were also discussed with the assemblies.

According to these sources, meeting of two leaders is likely after Eid, Asif Ali Zardari’s arrival in Islamabad.
