The first name is Lt. Gen. Asim Munir, then other names seniority wise are Lt. Gen. Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Lt. Gen. Azhar Abbas, Lt. Gen. Nauman Mehmood, Lt. Gen. Faiz Hameed and Lt. Gen. Muhammad Aamir, with the same seniority, these names have come to the Prime Minister’s Office.

This was revealed by senior journalist Ansar Abbasi while talking to the host of Geo News’ program “Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada ke sath”.

Meanwhile, according to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army, the General Headquarters (GHQ) has sent the summary to the Ministry of Defense for the appointment of the Army Chief.

ISPR said that the GHQ sent the summary for the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and the Army Chief to the Ministry of Defence. According to ISPR, the summary includes the names of 6 senior lieutenant generals which have been sent to the Ministry of Defence.

Ansar Abbasi said that till last night he had this information that it would be smooth selling.

‘I was told that those who are on merit, on the day the summary will be sent, you cannot subtract the name of the person who will be in service on that day.’ (Monitoring Desk)
