Who is Kamran Tissori?

Kamran Tissori, the leader who rejoined the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan, was made the Governor of Sindh.

Kamran Tissori was born on May 5, 1974 in Karachi, he belongs to a well-known businessmen family of Pakistan.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement Kamran Tissori has been in politics for 12 years, before that he was known as a prominent gold trader in Karachi and was also doing in construction business.

Kamran Tissori entered politics during the Musharraf era and became close to the then Chief Minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim, which led to many political differences.

Kamran Tissori initially joined the Muslim League Functional but later could not remain associated with it due to differences in the party.

Kamran continued his efforts to join MQM, in 2017, Dr. Farooq Sattar got the leadership of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan, then he gave importance to Kamran Tissori despite severe differences in the party, and also gave him a ticket for the provincial assembly. But he did not get success, later he was made Deputy Convenor and Dr. Farooq Sattar also recommended him for Senate ticket.

On this matter, there was a strong disagreement on the part of the senior leadership of the party and Dr. Farooq Sattar separated from the party. Farooq Sattar could not return to the party, but Kamran Tesori did.

After this decision, the differences in MQM Pakistan have once again came to the fore, with the reinstatement of Kamran Tissori as Deputy Convenor in September last month, two more Deputy Convenors Abdul Waseem and Khawaja Izharul Hasan have been added.

Convener Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui confirmed these decisions with the unanimous support of the members of the coordination committee, thus the journey of Kamran Tissori’s career continues and now he has been appointed as the Governor of Sindh with the approval of the President.

How was the name of Kamran Tissori approved?

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan has told the story behind sending the name of Kamran Tissori as the Governor of Sindh.

Spokesperson MQM-Pakistan said in his statement that the post of Sindh Governor was vacant since the establishment of the incumbent government, we had given five names in the first phase.

He further said that no progress could be made on the five names proposed by us, MQM consulted on the important constitutional post being vacant for a long time and sent two more names to the federal government.

According to the spokesperson of MQM, this time the party leadership sent the names of Abdul Waseem and Kamran Tissori to the federal government, President Dr. Arif Alvi approved the name of Kamran Tissori as the governor of Sindh.

He said that Kamran Tissori will definitely play his role in the coordination between the federation and the province and will contribute fully to redress the deprivations of the citizens of Sindh.
