KHAIRPUR Sep 23,2021- Video Conferencing Room set up in memory of Prof. Ahsan Ali Soomro at Department of Economics Shah Abdul Latif University.

A condolence reference on the sad demise of Prof. Ahsan Ali Soomro was held in the Department of Economics. Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor presided over the reference.

Talking to the participants, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto remarked that people are remembered by virtue of their contribution in the society. If a person who has left this world and contributed positively, will be remembered for a long time. Late Prof. Ahsan Soomro contributed positively in every walk of the life. He was a role model teacher who rendered his academic duties with patience, tolerance and empathy.

Shah Latif University awards 25 PhD, 346 M.S/M. Phil degrees

The Vice Chancellor appreciated the efforts of Chairman Department of Economics Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saleem Rahpoto established Video Conferencing Room after the name of Prof. Ahsan Ali Soomro.

On this occasion Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saleem Rahpoto, Chairman Department of Economics, Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof. (Retd.) Dr. Adal Soomro, Prof. Dr. Ameer Hussain Shar, Dr. Naveed Ahmed Shaikh, Dr. Farhan Soomro also spoke. They said that Late Prof. Ahsan Ali Soomro was man of simplicity, dedication and commitment. He was instrumental in the development of Department of Economics and produced a large number of talented students contributing in the society positively.

Meanwhile, Vice Chancellor inaugurated Girls Common Room where the photostat and printing facility is available for girls and also inaugurated the Late Prof. Ahsan Ali Soomro Video Conferencing Room in the premises of Department of Economics.
