UN Secretary General visits world heritage site Moen jo Daro

UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres during his visit to flood and rain affected areas also visited the Moen jo Daro, the historical site of Indus civilisation located in Larkana district.

He also visited flood-affected areas of Balochistan and called on world to provide “massive” financial support to Pakistan.

Pakistan foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto in his tweet said, accompanied UNSG to Usta Muhammad, Larkana & Moen jo Daro today. He personally witnessed scale of climate carnage & heard from flood affectees, displaced people and first responders. Pakistan greatly appreciates his timely visit and efforts in mobilizing international support.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah welcomed United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres at Karachi Airport Terminal One.

Sindh Chief Minister held talks with United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres at the VVIP lounge.

Sindh Chief Minister thanked the UN Secretary General for visiting the flood affected areas and meeting the victims.

Sindh Chief Minister also thanked the United Nations Secretary General for visiting Moinjo Daro and added that Moin Jo Daro is a World Heritage Site. Secretary General’s personal efforts to save this heritage are commendable

UNK Secretary General’s determination to make personal efforts to solve the problems of flood victims is commendable, Sindh Chief Minister said.
