UAE’s highest civilian award for General Bajwa
COAS Pakistan General Bajwa was conferred upon Order of the Union Medal by President of UAE for making significant contributions in furthering bilateral ties between both the countries, says a press release issued by ISPR.
General Qamar Javed Bajwa called on H.H Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE.
They discussed matters of mutual interest, bilateral defence and security cooperation and regional security situation.

Two leaders agreed that Pakistan and UAE share a great history of cordial relations and deep rooted spirit of brotherhood which is transforming into an enduring partnership.
On June 26, 2022, the Saudi Crown Prince also awarded the Army Chief with the Medal of Excellence.
On January 9, 2021, the Bahraini Crown Prince awarded the Army Chief with the Bahraini Order First Class Award.
According to ISPR, on October 5, 2019, Jordan awarded Army Chief General Bajwa with the Order of Military Merit Award.
The army chief was presented with a letter of congratulation from Russia on 27 December 2018, while on 20 June 2017 he was also awarded the Legion of Merit award by Turkey.

It should be noted that the Pakistan Army Chief General Bajwawas awarded the ‘Order of Zayed’ in recognition of his significant role in strengthening the relations between the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan.
