Two suspects of banned TTP arrested from Karachi
KARACHI, Jan 1,2022- Two suspects allegedly linked to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) are arrested from Malir, Karachi and fake passports, ball bearings, illegal arms, and detonators from their possession.
According to a police spokesman, the arrested suspects are military-trained from Afghanistan and had gathered in Karachi to plan a sabotage operation.
Pakistan demands disarmament of banned TTP
A police spokesman said that the arrested accused Razaullah alias Nasir had joined the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in 2011.
Another arrested accused, Habib Noor alias Sher Habib, joined the banned TTP in 2008 and was involved in various terrorist activities at the behest of the Amir.
The arrested suspects have been involved in other sabotage incidents in Afghanistan, including attacks on security forces.
Police have recovered grenades, passports, illegal weapons and other documents from the possession of the suspects of banned TTP.
Police are seeking information on other whereabouts of the arrested suspects. Further arrests and recoveries are expected.
