Transparency International suggests to complete K4 water project thru FWO
KARACHI (June 8, 2021(: Transparency International has suggested to the Sindh government that the K4 project be completed through the Frontier Works Organization (FWO).
The involvement of the pipe mafia in the mega project of water supply to Karachi has been revealed. Transparency International says that the cost of K4 has reached Rs 100 billion due to the intervention of the pipe mafia.
Transparency International has sent a letter to Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, suggesting that the K4 project be withdrawn from WAPDA and carried out through the FWO.
The letter said that work on K4 project has been stopped since 2018 due to design change, WAPDA could not complete Neelum Jhelum, Dasu Dam project on time and on time, to complete mega water supply projects in Karachi through WAPDA. Will be further delayed.
In the letter, Transparency International demanded that the report of the technical committee be acted upon.
