Street crime and police encounters increase in Ramadan
Karachi: An increase in street crime and police encounters was recorded during Ramadan.
According to police sources, three robbers robbed many people in the shop in Saeedabad.
The young man lost his mobile phone and cash at the doorstep of Saudabad police station.
Two robbers were killed in an alleged police encounter on Ghous Pak Road in Korangi Zaman Town.
One bandit was killed and another was arrested in the alleged police encounter in Gulshan-e-Mamar Janjal Goth, according to SSP West, the dead accused is an Afghan citizen.
Nine suspects have been arrested from Baldia Town, North Nazimabad, New Karachi, Ajmer Nagri, Shariah Faisal, Tipu Sultan Road and Mochko, from whom weapons, mobile phones, motorcycles and cash have been recovered.
In Korangi Zaman Town, two robbers were fleeing after robbing a citizen.
The injured bandits were also tortured by the public and both died. The identity of the dead bandits could not be identified.
Citizen Ibrahim Chana has been injured by the firing of the accused on resistance.
