Sindh govt will be party in cases of steel mills: Nasir Shah

KARACHI: Provincial Minister for Information and Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah held third meeting with Steel Mill union leaders.

Secretary Labour Rashid Solangi and senior officers of Labor Department were also present on the occasion. Nasir Shah said that Sindh government has implemented all the decisions taken in the first meeting.

He said that Chief Minister Sindh has included Jam Akramullah Dharejo, Minister for Industries in the sub-committee of Sindh Cabinet on Steel Mills.

 The Sindh government will soon write a comprehensive letter to the federal government to stop forced eviction of workers and privatization of steel mills.

He said that a delegation of Russia met the Chief Minister of Sindh yesterday, in which steel mill was discussed. Chief Minister Sindh has requested Russian delegation for restoration of Steel Mill.

Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said that the Sindh government would be a party in the ongoing case of Steel Mill in the Supreme Court so that the case could be strengthened.

 Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said that the theft of assets of billions of rupees from Steel Mills is a serious matter. He directed IG Sindh to set up police pockets to secure billions of rupees assets of Steel Mills.
