KARACHI: Social Welfare Mobilizers Male of Sindh Population Welfare Department staged protest and observed sit-ins in front of Karachi Press Club on Wednesday.
The Sindh Population Department’s mobilizers protested that they have not been paid salaries for the last 15 months.
Their demands included regularization of contract social mobilizers male, keeping record of seniority, and increase in the monthly salary to Rs 25,000 inclusion of the service from the date of appointment, incentives from 2009 and 2013.
On the call of social mobilizers organisation a large number of social mobilizers across Sindh participated in the protest. The protest was led by organisation’s President Arbelo Khan Gambhir, Sohail Ahmed Lasi, Nadeem Abro, Naeem Ahmed Changezi, Mohammad Ismail Lanjuani, Abdul Khaliq Habibani, Anwar Ali Brohi, Mohammad Sharif Halipota, Legal Adviser Mohammad Hayat Golo and Imam Dino Nahion.
The protesters chanted slogans in support of their demands and asked for immediate solution.
