KARACHI – As Sindh is facing shortage of officers, now senior officers of Grade- 18 can be posted on Grade- 20 position in Sindh. In this way the shortage of officers will be met so that the work is not affected.

The Services & General Administration Department briefed the Sindh cabinet on cadre post restructuring

The cabinet met under chairmanship of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Tuesday was told that there are 16 posts of Federal Government / PAS Grade BS 21 in Sindh but only 5 have been given, 11 are vacant.

Thus there are 67 posts of Grade BS 20 but 19 are working and 48 are lying vacant, the S&GAD said in briefing.

Likewise, of 59 posts of Grade BS 19, officers on 25 are working, while 34 are vacant.

Sindh has 85 posts of Grade BS 18, of them officers are working on 53 as 32 are vacant

125 posts of different grades of Federal Government / PAS officers are vacant in the province due to which work is being affected.

Cabinet filled the posts of Chairman P&D, Senior Member Board of Revenue, CMIT, Chairman ACE and Commissioner Karachi.

The cabinet decided that Grade-20 officers can also be posted in Grade-21 position.

Similarly, the Cabinet also approved to filling the 47 posts of Grade-20.

Now senior officers of Grade- 18 can be posted in Grade- 20 posts.

In this way the shortage of officers will be met so that the work is not affected.
