KARACHI Sep 25,2021- Secretary Sports Sindh Imtiaz Ali Shah said that preparations for Sindh Games are complete and the date will be announced soon.
Talking to media, Sindh Sports Secretary Imtiaz Ali Shah said that the Sindh Games were delayed due to code.
He further said that a sports policy has been formulated which will be implemented soon. There is no sports academy in Sindh.
Sindh Sports Secretary Imtiaz Ali Shah also said that no injustice will be done to any Sindh player.
Few months back Arbab Lutfullah, an MPA from Tharparkar has been appointed as Special Assistant to CM Sindh for Sports.
In April 2018 the 17th edition of the Sindh Games were held. Later due to COVID 19 the Sindh Sindh games could not be held.
In October 2020, it was informed that the 18th Sindh Games which have been due for over a year may be organised early next year.
It would be the first time that the games would be organised in all six divisions of the province, sources said.
There are more than 10 astro turfs in the province, three tartan tracks, and five synthetic football turfs. Besides, indoor sports complexes and gymnasiums have been also developed.
