Sindh CM directs KWSB to drain out water and clear mud at any cost
Sindh Chief Minister chaired a meeting to review the emergency measures during rains in the provincial capital.
The meeting was attended by Information Minister Sharjeel Memon, Imtiaz Sheikh, Nasir Shah, Advisor on Rehabilitation Rasool Bakhsh Chandio, Chief Secretary Sohail Rajput, Commissioner Karachi Iqbal Memon, Secretary Local Government Najam Shah, Special Secretary Rahim Sheikh, Secretary Rehabilitation Asif Memon, DG PDMA Salman Shah, MD Sindh Solid Waste Management Board Zubair Channa and other participants.
Chief Secretary Sohail Rajput told the meeting that he had visited the city. At Towers, NICVD, JPMC and underpasses rain water has been drained. While at Kharadar Allahwala Park, I.I Chandragar Road rain water was standing in some places.

Chief Minister Sindh told the meeting, “I myself have visited alone, where water was drained out from the area, mud was there. He directed hire some sweeper or laborer from anywhere. “I want to clean the mud”
Syed Murad Ali Shah further said, in places where drainage lines are chocked, the KWSB should hire extra force to feed the lines and added, “I will visit Secretariat, High Court, clean up the underpasses.
Chief Minister Sindh warned that a new spell of rain has been announced from tomorrow and directed to deploy machinery and staff in the affected areas.
Chief Secretary said Sohail Rajput told the meeting that EBM Causeway has been repaired and now vehicles are plying, while work is underway on Korangi Crossing Causeway.
Chief Minister Sindh instructed the rehabilitation department to install 15 existing pumps immediately, and added that these pumps be installed at Shaheen Complex, Qayyumabad, Urdu University and other necessary places.
